It is my goal to assist individuals and couples find greater clarity, ease, and strength in their personal lives and relationships. My intention is to provide a safe place to share your story, explore your process of relating to yourself and others, and learn to navigate the complexities of life.
From my earliest memories I have been curious about how people experience life, health, and healing. My work in the helping profession began over three decades ago as a Massage Therapist, using bodywork to help people heal from trauma, injury, and stress. I learned that much of an individual's stress results from conflict in relationships and the way we perceive ourselves. This inspired continued education into mental health.
It was counseling, meditation, dance, music, bodywork, breath, learning, and relationships that gave my life a “secondwind” and provided renewed energy and endurance, this is what inspired the name of my practice. My professional learning ranges from traditional bodywork modalities (Ayurveda and Eastern Five Element Theory) to National Certification in Counseling, a Master's Degree in Family and Couples Counseling, a certificate in Processwork Psychology, and a certificate in conflict resolution. My post graduate work includes continuing education in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Relational Life Therapy (RLT), Trauma Informed/ Somatically Oriented Interventions, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and also Nature Based Interventions.
I have great reverence for my own healing and personal development. I believe strongly in living and sharing from a place of unconditional care and authenticity. This informs my life in many ways from intimate relationships and parenting to my professional work. It is through relationships that we have an opportunity to connect deeper to our personal nature and to share this experience with others. I am committed to bringing collaboration, authenticity and presence to our therapeutic relationship.
I look forward to meeting you.
